    Labor Market Resources for Human Resources

    This educational training session learning objective is to provide attendees with practical ideas for using the Labor Market Information center of NEWorks. The tools available provide access to detailed wage estimates for occupations, checklists to assist in scoring job applications, custom occupation and area profiles, and access to interactive training videos. In addition, the tools will provide attendees with the means to analyze labor market trends for their industry or business in order to better serve their workforce and hiring requirements; tools that assess skills to determine qualified job candidates; an external source for recruiting; and access to HR metrics such as hiring and turnover statistics.


    Mary Findlay, Research Analyst in the office of Labor Market Information at the Nebraska Department of Labor, Lincoln NE.  Mary has 23 years of experience creating and demonstrating resources for HR managers, businesses, economic developers and job seekers. Mary has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from UN-L.
