    Program:  E-Verify

Speaker:  Dmitri Sharko of Sharko Law

Program Summary: U.S. employers have been deputized since 1986 to make sure that they employ a legal workforce. Completing a Form I‐9 Employment Eligibility Verification for each employee enables employers to document that they have met their obligations for verifying the identity and work authorization of their employees. This program will provide an overview of fundamentals and recent changes of E-Verify and provide human resource professionals with a summary of issues that employers should consider when evaluating whether to participate in the E-Verify program including compliance and liability issues.

Presenter:  Dmitri Sharko's practice focuses on business immigration law.  Dmitri has successfully represented investors, research institutions, health care organizations and individual professionals from the fields of medicine, research and information technology.  He regularly assists employers in effective development and implementation of immigration compliance policies by performing internal Form I-9 audits.
