    About the Speaker:

    Sue Loerts is an attorney in the Omaha, Nebraska, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She has 30 years of experience as a human resources and legal executive and in-house counsel in technology, healthcare and publishing organizations in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. She practices in all areas of employment law, proactively advising clients on preventative actions.

    Ms. Loerts is experienced in handling administrative claims and audits and investigations. She regularly counsels clients regarding a variety of employment matters including wage and hour, disability, leave and health management, strategic advice and counseling, policies and procedures, and agreements including various complex employment agreements and incentive compensation plans.

    In addition to being an attorney, Ms. Loerts served as the Top HR Executive and Senior Employment Counsel in diverse organizations from software development, outsourced business processes, public accounting, higher education and healthcare. She applies her knowledge to consulting with clients on internal investigations, compliance, employee classification and independent contractor issues, performance counseling and termination decisions.

    Ms. Loerts is also an experienced trainer and public speaker who has led workshops, global executive leadership development programs and conferences for small to large audiences. Her practice includes legal training for management and in-house counsel. Ms. Loerts provides a unique perspective and a practical approach to problem-solving for any organization.
